My greatest gift

This Christmas (and yes I mean "Christmas," not this "Holiday Season" ) I have made an interesting discovery: The greatest gift this year is being able to truly enjoy my wife. What a concept, actually enjoying all of the beautiful character traits of my gorgeous, lively, spontaneous, gracious, graceful wife. The truth is I don't see many people cherishing the one God gave them as a source of encouragement, strength and love. But I refuse to except the norm. I will celebrate my wife as I unwrap the beauty of her mystery all the days of my life. Merry Christmas to me every moment I delight in Kelli. And for those who dare to entreat me by choosing to treasure their spouse with absolute childlike abandonment, Merry Christmas to you!

Livin' on the edge...

You can go half your life feeling like you're strange until you wake up one morning and it hits you - "I am strange!" Then you make a vital choice, are you going to change or embrace who you are. Over the last year Kelli and I have gotten the distinct impression that we are two strange cats, and what's more...we like it. I have a feeling that Jesus was a pretty strange guy. The way we see it, if getting over our bad selves (having to feel cool and accepted by Joe America) is the trade off for finding true peace that transcends understanding, we'll take it. Last year we stopped in our tracks while going full speed toward the "American Dream" and we've been livin' on the edge ever since. The funny thing about the "American Dream" is that when I look around, the dream looks more like a nightmare. It's time to live the REAL dream that means more than settling for 3 squares a day, 4 walls, a roof and a 2 car garage. We choose to follow our heart's cry and forsake the comforts of home. "We are NOMADS, passing through a foreign land." Besides, when was the last time a nomad felt at home?

What is...

Everywhere I travel, every job I have, every person I speak with, there is one question that must be asked and one answer that must be found...what is the meaning of life? What do you say it is?

You may be a NOMAD if...

...Home doesn't necessitate walls and a roof over your head
...You carry a toiletries kit like a purse
...The word “Squatter” reminds you of your friends
...Catching a ride to town includes hitchhiking
...Your net worth can be found in your right pocket
...You get a rush out of recycling bottles for groceries
…You forget where your mail is being sent this month
...Public transportation is 1 bicycle and at least 2 passengers
…Your home phone # is on Skype
…You read maps on the toilet
...You have lived in a hostel for more than 2 weeks
...WWOOFing isn't just for dogs, it's your vacation agenda
…Your passport is your primary form of ID

Forever Nomads

Welcome to the site where everything is fact in the the strictest sense of fiction. Here you will find what your heart craves the most, to fill the empty, gapping cannonball wound in the middle of your chest. We promiss nothing and guarantee everything that really matters in this short existence called life.

Deep Thoughts

Remember when you were 3 years old and nothing in life mattered exept eating, drinking and sucking your thumb...that was cool.
